Animal Day at the Farm
History/Science, Folk Art/Crafts, farm animals;

Experience life on the “one horse farm” in Horry County from 1900-1955 at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. Join us on March 24th from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM to learn about the different animals on the farm and their various roles. The public is invited to help feed the animals from 9:00-9:30. Visitors can select an ear of corn, shell it, and use it to feed the chickens. This month farm staff will talk about ‘pets’ on the farm and the jobs that they did to help the farmer. A representative from the Horry County Animal Shelter will also be on site to share the types of services that they provide to the public and to bring animals that would represent farm pets. The L. W. Paul Living History Farm is open Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM-4 PM and teaches the history of the Horry County farm family. The farm is free and open to the public and is located at the corner of Hwy 701 North and Harris Short Cut Road in Conway, SC. For more information, call the L. W. Paul Living History Farm at 843-365-3596 or email For a full list of programs and events at the Horry County Museum and L.W. Paul Living History Farm, visit
